Aztec, Maya, Inca Daily Life
The Aztecs, the Mayans, and the Incans are great civilizations from history. The amazing things about Aztecs, Mayans, and Incans are what food they ate, what environment they lived in, and what transportation they used. By the end of this paper I hope that you learned something new. Now it is time to learn about the Aztecs, Mayans, and Incans.
First thing you are going to learn about is the food they ate. The Aztecs ate about any animal they could find such as turkey, rabbits, ducks, dogs, etc. They also ate crops they grew but the main crops they grew were potatoes and corn. If they couldn’t grow their crops or their crops were not ready to eat they would find seeds or roots from other plants they could find. Now it is time for the Mayans. The Mayans ate close to the same things. Their diet was roots, seeds, and grasses but they also found maize which is just like corn. For their meat the hunted wild animals like turkeys, rabbits, monkeys, iguanas, etc. Last but not least the Incans. The Incans ate more than 200 types of potatoes along with corn they grew.
Next thing you are going to learn about is all the terrains the Aztecs, Mayans, and Incans lived in. First again with the Aztecs. The Aztecs were surrounded by mountains but they also lived in swampy areas along with dry areas. The Aztecs were even surrounded by water. Now its time for the Mayans. The Mayans lived in several different terrains such as rain forest, coastal areas, swamps, etc. Lastly the Incans. The Incans lived in places in the Amazon jungle was, where the coastal deserts were, and the Andes Mountains. Since they lived where there were a lot of hills and mountains they did not live on flat ground.
Last thing you ate going to learn is the Aztecs, the Mayans, and the Incans transportation. The Aztecs used canoes to go across the water when they traded. When they didn't need to cross the water they walked. What the Mayans used for transportation were also canoes. A really cool thing about the Mayans was they were one of the first people to make roads to walk on. For the Incans they also used roads to walk on but they used bridges to cross over water instead of canoes. When they were going places the usually used mules and llamas for transportation instead of walking like the Aztecs and Mayans.
Have you learned something? I bet you have because there are so many facts about the Aztecs, Mayans, and Incans, I could go on and on. What you have learned was about the food they eat, where they lived, and there transportation. Make sure to thank them, they made roads!
